We hope you will join us for an online meeting Saturday, Sept 12, 2pm
Two great short presentations:
Show and Tell: Local Authors and Favorite Books (sign up now)
We have a couple of slots open for 2 minute presentations on your recently published book in our genres or a “reader’s report” recommending a book or author. Email kim@keeline.com if you want to do one at this meeting or the next one.
Death of a Zen Master: Cornelia Feye
We will have a short presentation by author Cornelia Feye on her new release. Cornelia Feye’s new novel Death of a Zen Master is set in a remote Zen monastery. It is a murder mystery, but it is also a meditation on relationships, Zen philosophy, and how hard it is to stay still. Available at La Playa Books, Konstellation Press and Amazon.
Author Sara Sligar

Partners in Crime, the San Diego chapter of the national organization Sisters in Crime, welcomes author Sara Sligar at our next meeting. Sara’s novel Take Me Apart follows an archivist’s deepening obsession with a 1980s photographer’s mysterious death.
Told partly through documents from the artist’s estate, Take Me Apart draws on Sara’s own experiences in archives as an academic, researching everything from early Hollywood film to suffragette art vandalism. She will talk about visual art, feminism, and the hidden pressures on female artists’ work.
This presentation is in cooperation with La Playa Books!
