San Diego Mystery Club: The meetings (dinner and a speaker) are the second Thursday of the month in the evening at Elijah’s in Clairemont Mesa.  There are dues and elected officers.  Welcome new members.  The current President is Dianna White and she can be reached at diannad4@cox.net.  It involves dinner that runs around $32 and a reservation must be made and paid for in advance.  This group has been meeting since at least 1984.

The Oasis “Whodunit” Book Club: Twice a month through Oasis (senior group, paid registration). Do you enjoy reading a really good mystery? Do you like to match wits with the detective and figure out who committed the crime before the ending is revealed? In this book club, we’ll discuss the various types of mystery books, and we’ll pick a different author each meeting to read and evaluate. Let your inner “sleuth” come out and join us as we engage in lively, stimulating debates about what constitutes a tantalizing tale. Lisa Benton is the facilitator. Limited number of participants, often sold out. Currently $64 a semester plus a school fee. Find out more at Oasis.

The El Cajon Library “Whodunit” Book Club: Join the Whodunit Book Club every Tuesday at noon to discuss mystery and more! Led by Lisa Benton. Free to join. More info at the library event page for the group.

Mission Hills Library book club: A mystery book group that operates out of the Mission Hills Public Library on West Washington.  There is no charge.  It meets currently on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm. Check the library website for more info.
