Nov 8 Meeting: Alexa Tanen on Crime Scene Investigation

Join San Diego Partners in Crime on November 8 for a virtual presentation by Alexa Tanen on crime scene investigation. Her presentation will cover basic protocol for crime scenes, the roles of investigators and forensic scientists, and a high-level overview of equipment and techniques used therein with a particular focus on forensic anthropology. She will show how real criminal investigations often differ from those depicted in fiction.

Alexa is a freelance editor and has worked with first-time authors and major publishers. She is the Vice President of Copyediting for SDPEN, a professional member of the HWA, SDWEG, and EFA, and has lectured at CCA and WonderCon. She also has a Master’s in Forensic Anthropology.
