Pamela Putnam, former San Bernardino Sheriff Coroner
San Diego Partners in Crime is pleased to welcome Pamela Putnam, a retired San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner. Lisa Benton, from our board, will be interviewing her. As a coroner investigator, Pamela handled over 2,500 cases during her career, including nearly 200 homicides.
What are the different types of deaths and wounds? What are the duties of the coroner, as opposed to law enforcement and crime scene investigators? What do they do at a crime scene, as well as afterward, to close a case? There’s a lot more that goes into it than people think.
